Our local food shelf is here to help.

Are you or someone you know struggling to afford food? United Way of Dodge County can help. United Way of Dodge County makes it easier every day for families to get healthy food on a budget, where they live and when they need it. We work with community food shelf partners and volunteers to ensure families are supported. During the COVID-19 outbreak, we have stepped up our regular efforts to make sure all of our neighbors have access to food.   bag of food   If you or someone you know is struggling to get food, please check out SEMCAC Food Shelf. The Dodge County Food Shelf is open Tuesdays and Thursdays in Kasson. Emergency food is available to ANY households experiencing a food crisis, regardless of household income. Please call ahead for curbside pick-up or to schedule a delivery.   We’re proud of the work we are doing with SEMCAC in the community, and together we can do more. Community members who are interested in helping can:
  • Donate food to the food shelf. Pantries provide an effective way for families to get food when they need to stretch their budget to make ends meet or as temporary relief when unexpected expenses come up. When you donate, consider healthy options like canned salmon, dried beans or brown rice to help increase the availability of nutritious items.
  • Donate money to the United Way of Dodge County to support local pantries. Donated money can often be stretched further by our food pantry partners because of bulk purchasing deals. Last year, United Way of Dodge County allocated $3,000 to SEMAC. We would love to be able to give more. Click to learn how you can donate.
When it counts, this community comes together. We see this every day and especially in response to recent events. Thank you to all of you who show up for your neighbors. We are truly in this together.
